Fabrication Supervisor

Job Description



Handles all operations within the Fabrication department including safety, quality and production.




  • Must know how to run a variety of fabrication machines such as a press brake, shear, cold saw, tube bender, and drill press.

  • Basic reading, writing, math and excellent communication skills.

  • Basic knowledge of computer, willing to train.

  • Must be able to read a tape measure.

  • Must be able to translate drawings.




Forklift Certification




  • Responsible for the movement of raw materials coming into the department and finished parts going out of the department by use of riding forklift.

  • Sets up machines to run open order items per schedule and parts availability.

  • Assigns associates to run production making sure they know the correct procedures to complete the task.

  • Insures accurate inventory of all finished parts.

  • Assigns each associate running a job into the E2 system for that job to capture the time it takes to do a job and the correct amount of parts run. 

  • Fills out a quality sheet on each job done in the fabrication area.  This includes making sure the first piece off the machine is correct and gets the quality supervisor to check the part and sign off on it also.  Parts to also be checked periodically by the operator and recorded on the quality sheet.  The initial piece signed off as being 100% correct by the operator, fabrication supervisor and quality supervisor is to remain at that station as a reference until completion of the job.

  • Insure quality of all parts coming out of the fabrication department is 100% correct.

  • Is responsible for the operation of the laser machine making sure the correct items are being run and the machine is being maintained properly.

  • Such other duties as are assigned from time to time.

  • Assures all safety practices in the fabrication area are being performed to maintain an accident free work area.






Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
