Responsibilities
Plans, directs, or coordinates the work activities and resources necessary for manufacturing products in accordance with cost, quality, and quantity specifications.
Complies with all company safety rules and procedures.
Works in Lamination Department as Process Engineer for Press Area, and supports the Paper Saturation/Impregnation area.
Focuses on process-control and reducing process variation.
Concentrates on press operation, press plates, camera/vision systems and other manufacturing equipment.
Defines, modifies, establishes documents, procedures and specifications, and performs training as needed.
Ensures equipment optimization within the production process. Analyzes daily progress of overall equipment effectiveness and takes corrective action to minimize equipment downtime and maximize equipment performance.
Reviews technical issues and confers with maintenance staff to resolve technical production problems by performing the correct preventive maintenance actions.
Responsible in maximizing through-put, reducing defects and scrap, as well as maintaining quality to both our final and internal customers.
Initiates Material Complaints to drive preventive and correction actions with our internal and external suppliers.
May provide supervision to other staff members including Engineering Technicians.
Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
BS degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or other relevant field, OR significant experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of production processes, quality control concepts.
Knowledge of business and management principles involved.
3-5 years experience in an automated manufacturing environment.
Lean and Six Sigma tools experience desirable.
Technology and automation minded, with a basic understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, motors, basic electricity, gearboxes, camera/vision systems, and tools.
Excellent computer skills including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
Strong math skills, including the knowledge of arithmetic, basic algebra, geometry, and statistics, and their applications.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Demonstrated experience with team-based lean six sigma techniques (Kaizen, 5-S, 5 Why's, SMED, DOE, etc.)
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
Possess an exceptional attention to detail.
Good written and oral communication skills.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.



Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
