Have a friendly and helpful attitude when interacting with patients and your co-workers.
Greet and triage entering patients/customers based on their communicated needs.
Promptly answer phones to assist patients with their requests.
Receive requests for prescription refills and new fills.
Maintain and operate the cash register for processing all pharmacy transactions (including store-front items and prescription medications), returns, and medical equipment rentals.
Properly verify patient name/date of birth/valid ID for medication transactions, while upholding HIPAA standards and following all relevant pharmacy laws.
Assist with organizing and re-stocking shelves and store inventory.
Carry out daily housekeeping, cleanliness and sanitation responsibilies as established by pharmacy guidelines.
Have a growth-oriented mindset and be willing to learn new skills to grow professionally.
